I've spent my whole life taking pictures. On my parents point and shoot as a kid, an inherited Rolleiflex SLR in high school, and hundreds of disposable cameras and polaroids throughout the years. I remember being given my own disposable camera on a 3rd grade field trip to Honolulu's Chinatown, and how excited and empowered I felt to freely capture the things I saw. I've been chasing that feeling ever since.
After a long break, I've re-invested myself in film photography this year, slowing down and reveling in the delayed gratification of it all. Through film photography and darkroom printing, I've found that same feeling again.
